Privacy policy

Who runs this site

recompiled.games is an independent directory of decompilations, static recompilations, browser builds, and source ports. Game names and trademarks belong to their owners. This site does not host or store game files. Questions about this policy go to recompiled.games.contact@gmail.com.

What the site collects

Opening a game page adds one to that game's visit total. Popular orders games by those totals. The total is a number for the game, not a record of who opened it. Google Analytics, measurement id G-H88YMJV5EC, also collects visit data through cookies: pages viewed, a rough location, the browser, and how the visit arrived. The host, Vercel, also counts page views. The directory does not ask for an account, and it does not take a name, a payment, or a game file.

Some browser players on this site read a ROM or disc image you pick. That file stays in the browser tab. It is not uploaded to recompiled.games. Launch, source, and download buttons leave for another site, and that site has its own policy.

Advertising

The site loads Google AdSense so Google can review the pages. No ad slots are placed yet. Google may set cookies from that script to review the site and, once ads run, to choose and measure them. Those cookies are Google's. You can control ad cookies in your browser and in Google's ad settings.
